It is with heavy heart that I transcribe this review, and let me tell you why. I spend a significant amount of time in my online shopping voyages looking for this. exact. product. Metallic? Check! Sweater? Check! Long sleeves? Check! Open neckline? Check! I thought I hit the mega jackpot! Then...I tried it on. Much to my dismay this dress just didn't work, and I can tell you exactly why. It's fully lined, which the description notes, but the sweater material itself is so heavy that the dual layer adds a thickness that its both unneeded and unwanted and translates to bulk. I wish I could remove the lining! Or keep the lining and thin the sweater! It's just too much together. So, who is this dress for? What lucky party-goer will have the good fortune to don this (theoretically) beautiful frock? THIN! Very, very thin. If you're a real skinny minny, give it a whirl. Maybe for you the layers will be a nice warm feature in the chilly holiday months. For me, though, it added bulk I didn't need. It's definitely worth a shot if you're rocking a super waif frame because this purdy shiny number deserves to attend the ball!
