A la fundadora de Skylar, Cat Chen, siempre le han inspirado las fragancias, desde su niñez. Viendo a sus padres perseguir el sueño americano, aprendió que todo es posible con perseverancia. Cat fundó Skylar en 2017 cuando un perfume infantil le provocó una reacción alérgica a su hija. Aunque dijeron que era imposible, Cat encontró una manera de diseñar aromas frescos e inspiradores hechos sin crueldad hacia los animales, veganos, hipoalergénicos y que se puedieran usar en pieles sensibles.
