The metallic thread is subtle and makes it more versatile so it isn't just another long, beige, colored cardigan. It's very soft and it is very long I'm 5'8 and it hits three inches above my ankles. The sleeves are quite long and widen ever so slightly at the cuffs which creates a lot of bulk if you want to push your sleeves up. I just put a beige rubber band around them, they stay up quite nicely, and no one can see the hair ties. The fabric is a bit iffy for me. The metallic thread snags like a mofo so extra care is required and while it is soft it's almost, just alllllmost, crossing the line into cheap ass acrylic sweater fabric land. I still love it and will wear when my exchange arrives. It does run big I think so I had to size down.
